Spanish festival
April 2-10
Sofitel is bringing a Spanish gastronomic and cultural festival at Tapas with special renowned Chef Jordi Gimeno who is flying from Barcelona to showcase tapas and paella of his native Spain. The group Grupo Flamenco Las Duquelas are entertaining guests with song and dance through the festival too, as a special dinner is available from 8pm on each night.

Cook with Chef Andrea

Italian food lovers can join Chef Andrea in the kitchen for an interactive cooking class as he reveals his family secrets, step-by-step guides to creating wonderful dishes, as well as plenty of other top tips. It’s BD18 net per person inclusive of lunch and soft drinks from 10am to noon.

Thai festival at Trader Vic’s
April 5-11
For one week only, Trader Vic’s Bahrain is welcoming the Phuket Events Company and their performance of traditional Thai dance. Dancers are performing three shows each evening exclusively for guests dining on the outdoor terrace restaurant from 8pm. A Thai three course set menu for BD14.5 net is also available.

Gulf Night Out

The Gulf Hotel’s exclusive poolside event, Gulf Night Out, is back with a great buffet festival, live entertainment and many surprises including games. Tickets bought before Tuesday are BD17++ and on the day are BD18++. It starts from 8pm.

Zahle is hosting a Lebanese festival with a menu ranging from cold mezze to tasty sweets as the dabka folkloric dance group Moulayya entertains. It’s BD25++ per person inclusive of dinner and entertainment from 7pm to 2am each night. The show starts at 9.30pm.

Cooking with Chef Bruce
April 18
Chef Minh Duong will take you on a culinary journey through Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia in this cooking class. It’s BD18 net per person inclusive of lunch and soft drinks from 10am to noon.

Thai festival
April 22-25
Under the patronage of the Thai Embassy in Bahrain, Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain is bringing the taste of Bangkok and Phuket to Bahrain. On the evening of the 22nd, there will be an opening ceremony in their gardens featuring Thai delicacies and Thai dancers for BD18.1 net. The 23rd features Thursday Night Out with a Thai twist for BD26.6 net. Following that, the hotel’s famous brunch will again have a Thai twist, priced at BD31 net with selected beverages. To continue the celebrations, both evenings of the 24th and 25th will feature another garden festival under the stars for BD18.1 net.

Farmers’ market

Look no further for your local fresh produce than The Ritz-Carlton’s croquet lawn from 8am to noon on this day. Entrance is complimentary and then it’s BD4++ per person to enjoy a traditional Bahraini breakfast.

Momos, the traditional Asian dumpling, are featured on Soie’s promotional menu this month with options from the Himalayas to Tibet, suitable for vegetarians, seafood and meat fans. Prices start at BD3.9++.

Keeping in the theme of the special ‘Asian Circuit’ F1 menu, Bushido is also running a Pan-Asian menu through April with a la carte or special set menu options featuring a selection of dishes inspired by various countries on the continent such as Tom Kha Gai (Thai chicken soup) and Peking duck leg.
